Rob began his practice in 1984 with Selikoff & Cohen, P.C., a labor relations and civil rights boutique firm in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. In 1988, he joined Mesirov, Gelman, Jaffe, Cramer & Jamison in Philadelphia as a member of that firm’s Litigation Department, where he practiced general commercial litigation, eventually focusing on litigation relating to construction, real estate, business bankruptcies, reorganizations, and insolvencies.
In 1990, Rob joined the Philadelphia Office of Buchanan Ingersoll, and remained with that firm for the next 13 years, taking a three-year sabbatical between 1995 and 1998 to obtain his Master of Divinity Degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. Rob served with Buchanan Ingersoll as a member of its Litigation, Bankruptcy, Real Estate, and Financial Institutions Sections, and its Religious and Non-Profit Organizations Practice Group, before leaving in 2004 to develop his own firm.
In 2007, Mr. Eyre and Gene Foehl formed Foehl & Eyre, P.C. Mr. Eyre and Mr. Foehl first worked together in community organizing in the City of Chester, Pennsylvania in the late 1990s, and continued that work through the Unity Center, Inc., a 501(c)(3) corporation that, working alongside Foehl & Eyre, P.C., represents a structured commitment of the law firm to community service.
Since moving to a smaller firm, Rob has added estate planning and administration to his resume, and applied his litigation experience to estate-related litigation in will contests and guardianship matters. He has also applied his experience
representing large commercial lenders and borrowers to the representation of consumers and small businesses in loan default, workout, and lender liability matters.
Experience
- Representing commercial lenders and loan servicing companies in real estate and asset-based loan enforcement, workouts, restructuring, and bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings on claims ranging from
- $50,000 to $150 million.
- Representing a bank syndicate in the investigation and litigation of claims relating to a $50 million inter-creditor securitization fraud by a healthcare financing company.
- Representing the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as receiver of an insolvent bank.
- Representing the Insurance Commissioner of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as receiver and liquidator of an insolvent insurance company.
- Representing debtors, creditors, and creditors’ committees in litigation matters in some of the largest Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Delaware.
- Representing creditors in the enforcement of rights under Article 2 (Sales) and Article 9 (Security Interests in Collateral) of the Uniform Commercial Code.
- Representing creditors and debtors in litigation and workouts relating to commercial and consumer loan defaults, mortgage foreclosures, collection and enforcement of judgments, receivership, preference
- claims, subordination and re-characterization claims, fraudulent transfers, and other special remedies.
- Representing individual and institutional plaintiffs and defendants in breach of fiduciary duty claims against directors, officers, partners, and shareholders in small, closely held businesses and large, publicly traded
- corporations.
- Representing landlords and tenants and commercial and residential lease enforcement actions. Incorporating charitable, civic, non-profit, and for-profit corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies
- and associations and providing advice on organizational governance and management.
- Representing charities, civic, religious, and other non-profit organizations in litigation and workouts relating to loan defaults, lender liability, real estate tax exemption issues, and general litigation matters.
- Representing churches, clergy, and other individuals before ecclesiastical courts and authorities in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Protestant Episcopal Church in the United States, and in general litigation and organizational matters.
- Representing individuals in guardianship petitions, will contest, and other estate litigation matters in the Orphans’ Courts and other courts of Pennsylvania.

- From 1987 to 1996 – Transitional Housing Program for Homeless Women with Children, in its center located at 9th & Kerlin Streets, Chester, Pennsylvania
- From 1996 to 2006 – Established a coalition of fifteen (15) Chester, Pennsylvania organizations designed to improve their respective communities and provided computers and tutors for after-school and summer programs operated by Unity Center and neighborhood improvement projects
- From 2006 to present – Opened and operate a center located at 9th & Kerlin Streets, Chester, Pennsylvania offering after-school and summer school programs, computer lab, and meeting rooms for local organizations, conducted after-school programs within Chester-Upland School District with upwards of 300 children at a time and many community improvement projects. Unity Center also founded and operated a youth court conducted solely by trained Chester-Upland students at Chester High School and the S.T.E.M. Academy
- Chester-Upland School District – from 2016 to the present. Operates a focus group of students in each of the six Chester-Upland School Districts, the students being chosen by the respective school principals, wherein the students go through a structured process of analyzing how they may improve their respective schools and take ownership of their own education
- Chester Upland School District – Named by the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, Pennsylvania President Judge to serve as the court liaison reporting to the court concerning the operations of CUSD since 2015

Patrick K. McCoyd is of counsel to Foehl & Eyre. Mr. McCoyd has been in practice since 1984, and engages in several diverse practice areas:

- Represented a professional and his company in defamation, commercial disparagement, and tortious interference litigation tried for a jury defense verdict.

Stacey Main is an associate at Foehl & Eyre, P.C. She joined the firm in 2014. Prior to joining Foehl & Eyre, Ms. Main practiced law in Texas before moving to Pennsylvania in 2012 and began practicing as a solo practitioner and ‘of counsel’ for Mulvihill & Rushie, LLC. She has represented clients in a variety of matters, including landlord/tenant, unemployment compensation, commercial litigation, and civil rights violations. In October 2012, she won the Philly VIP Volunteer of the Month award.

DAVID M. RITCHEY
David graduated cum laude from Rutgers University in 2014, with degrees in philosophy and psychology, and graduated cum laude from the Beasley School of Law at Temple University Law in 2019. After working as a clerk for The Honorable Ann M. Butchart in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas (2019-2021) and as an associate in civil litigation with Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan LLP (2021-2022), David returned to the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas where he clerked for The Honorable Abbe F. Fletman (2023) and currently serves as a staff attorney for the Philadelphia Courts. He has worked with the firm since 2023 and serves Of Counsel while continuing as a staff attorney with the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. David provides valuable assistance and insight in the areas of civil litigation and procedure, trusts, estates, bankruptcies, commercial transactions, and civil rights.
